The lecture will be focused on an advanced methodological framework for the analysis of materials, integrating synchrotron X-ray scattering with in situ physicochemical analysis. In particular, incorporation of an ultrafast calorimeter on a chip within the infrastructure of micro- and nanofocus synchrotron beamlines will be discussed. This methodology enables rapid heating and cooling of samples, at rates of 1000 °C/s and above, for specimens ranging in mass from 1 to 100 ng. The combination of these techniques is pivotal in the effective investigation of thermal behaviors in samples, particularly those demonstrating phenomena such as multiple melting events. To investigate the molecular mechanisms of polymer deformation, the study employed a combination of small-angle X-ray scattering with an in situ deformation cell. The report will provide an example of studying strain hardening in a series of brush copolymers, demonstrating adaptive biomimetic behavior. References Ivanov D.A., et al.
